Dianne Millner specializes in representing large, medium, or small institutions, general or limited partnerships, nonprofit organizations, as well as individuals in all types of real estate transactions- whether commercial, retail, office building, housing, mixed-use, industrial or special use projects. Developments can range from multi-million dollar projects to small homeowner transactions.
Dianne can handle general real estate questions, purchase and sale agreements, leases, landlord and tenancy matters, easement issues, title matters and more.
Public-Private Real Estate Development Partnerships
Ms. Millner formerly represented a number of public agencies in real estate and economic development matters, including the (now inactive) redevelopment agencies of the City and County of San Francisco and the City of Oakland, as well as the Port of San Francisco.
Dianne combines that public expertise with her extensive private practice experience in representing financial institutions and private developers/property owners to demonstrate a unique expertise in facilitating successful public-private partnerships
Accordingly, she is particularly well-versed in the intricacies of working out a consensus for development projects among private parties and developers, with municipalities and public agencies, as well as community members.
Economic Development
Dianne formerly supervised a team of attorneys who handled legal matters for the economic development department of the City of Oakland. She and her team assisted City staff in providing public incentives to establish businesses in the City, including the development of a Lexus car dealership, a Toyota dealership, transactions with airlines, and a number of other businesses.
Ms. Millner’s familiarity with public-private incentives and her own extensive real estate and general business experience ensures that she can expertly advise on economic development matters.
Business Law
Ms. Millner has advised numerous business owners on entity formation, partnership agreements, vendor contracts, equipment leasing matters, general contract review, issue spotting, and related matters.
